Amazon Advertising vs Snap Pixel: which slows a Shopify store more?

Amazon Advertising is usually the lighter of the two. On the typical store it was light, while Snap Pixel was moderate.

Both are ad tracking pixels. We measured Amazon Advertising on 79 Shopify ecommerce stores and Snap Pixel on 83.

Amazon Advertising was light on 100% of the stores it was measured on. Snap Pixel was moderate on 66% of the stores it was measured on.

On stores that run both

21 of the stores we checked load both. Amazon Advertising took less processing time than Snap Pixel on 20 of them.
