ShopWeight terms of use

What ShopWeight does
ShopWeight loads a store's public homepage five times in a test browser and reports which apps take the most processing time. It doesn't sign in, install anything or change the store. If a store turns the check away, ShopWeight stops. It never tries to get around a store's block. Reports can also show speed figures that Google publishes about the store.
Results are estimates
Each result is a lab measurement from one moment in time. Results vary between checks and with each shopper's phone and connection. Ranks and bands are estimates. Band names such as "heavy" describe how much processing time an app used in our check, measured against fixed ranges we set. They aren't a judgment of the app's quality or of what it's worth to a store. Matching a script to an app is an estimate too. We sometimes name the wrong app or miss one. Results aren't advice about which apps to keep or remove.
No affiliation
ShopWeight is made by 2 Visions. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shopify Inc. or by any app maker named in a report. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc. App names belong to their owners and appear only to identify the apps.
Fair use
You may check any public store address. Each visitor can start two new checks a day. Don't use ShopWeight to overload a site. Don't use automated tools to pull reports or index pages in bulk or to get around the daily limit. We can refuse a check, limit a visitor's checks or remove a report at any time if we believe ShopWeight is being misused.
Reports and links
Anyone with a report's link can open it. Report pages are kept out of search engines. A report stays up so its link keeps working, unless the store opts out or we remove it. The reports and the index belong to 2 Visions. You're welcome to view, share and link to them. Don't resell them, republish them in bulk or build a database from them without our written permission.
App Weight Index
ShopWeight also publishes the typical result for each app found on at least 20 stores. Those pages never name a store.
Stores that opt out
If you run a store and don't want it checked, email shopweight@2visions.com from an address at the store's domain. We'll stop checking it and delete its reports.
Corrections
If you make an app or run a store and believe a result is wrong, email shopweight@2visions.com with the page's link. We'll reply within five business days. If the result is wrong, we'll check the store again and correct or remove it.
No warranty
ShopWeight is free and provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, 2 Visions isn't liable for decisions made from its results or for any indirect or consequential loss. If 2 Visions is found liable anyway, its total liability is limited to what you paid to use ShopWeight. For the free checks, that is nothing.
Your responsibility
You're responsible for how you use ShopWeight and its results. If your use leads to a claim against 2 Visions, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
Privacy
ShopWeight stores the store address you check and a scrambled form of your internet address that enforces the daily limit. If you ask to be emailed, it also stores your email address. Our privacy policy covers how we handle each.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version.
Governing law
South Carolina law governs these terms. Any dispute is heard in the state or federal courts in Charleston County, South Carolina.
