AppLovin and MNTN usually land in the same band. Neither is clearly lighter on the typical store.
Both are ad tracking pixels. We measured AppLovin on 102 Shopify ecommerce stores and MNTN on 66.

AppLovin was light on 62% of the stores it was measured on. MNTN was light on 79% of the stores it was measured on.
On stores that run both
24 of the stores we checked load both. Each app took less processing time on about half of them.
Each band is an app's typical processing time across the stores it was measured on. Those stores differ from app to app. That makes the result on stores that run both the fairer test. Apps found on fewer than 20 stores aren't listed yet. The list grows as more stores are checked.
