Google Ads vs Reddit Ads: which slows a Shopify store more?
Google Ads and Reddit Ads usually land in the same band. Neither is clearly lighter on the typical store.
Both are ad tracking pixels. We measured Google Ads on 380 Shopify ecommerce stores and Reddit Ads on 120.

Google Ads was light on 100% of the stores it was measured on. Reddit Ads was light on 82% of the stores it was measured on.
On stores that run both
98 of the stores we checked load both. Google Ads took less processing time than Reddit Ads on 70 of them.
Each band is an app's typical processing time across the stores it was measured on. Those stores differ from app to app. That makes the result on stores that run both the fairer test. Apps found on fewer than 20 stores aren't listed yet. The list grows as more stores are checked.
