Meta Pixel vs Pinterest Tag: which slows a Shopify store more?
Pinterest Tag is usually the lighter of the two. On the typical store it was light, while Meta Pixel was heavy.
Both are ad tracking pixels. We measured Meta Pixel on 504 Shopify ecommerce stores and Pinterest Tag on 116.

Meta Pixel was heavy on 70% of the stores it was measured on. Pinterest Tag was light on 93% of the stores it was measured on.
On stores that run both
112 of the stores we checked load both. Pinterest Tag took less processing time than Meta Pixel on 108 of them.
